Update: 20-year-old Grayson woman airlifted following single-vehicle wreck

A 20-year-old Grayson woman was airlifted to Gwinnett Medical Center following a single vehicle wreck in Walton County. The call came in at 12:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2017.
According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper First Class Cal Barton, Amber Johnson, driving a 2004 Dodge Pick-up was traveling east on Bold Springs Road when she failed to stop at the Stop sign at Highway 81 and Bold Springs Road. She lost control of the vehicle, traveling off the right shoulder. She overcorrected and then went off the north shoulder, striking a culvert. Barton said Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, Jourdan Staton, 21, from Monroe, also was not wearing a seatbelt but he was not ejected. He did not require transportation to a hospital. Barton said alcohol or drugs are not suspected in this wreck.

Breaking: A single vehicle wreck on Bold Springs Road near Highway 81 overnight critically injured a female victim. Officials with Walton County Fire Rescue report that she was air lifted to the hospital. Awaiting full details from Georgia State Patrol.
