Paint recycling and yard sale to raise funds for LHS band

Loganville High School Band is holding a paint recycling fundraiser and yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2017, at the American Legion Post 233, 4635 Atlanta Highway in Loganville.

Residents with leftover cans of paint can safely dispose of them and support the local school at the same time. Oil and latex paints can be recycled, including Behr, Valspar, Kilz, Minwax, Thompson Wood Sealer, Helmsman, Polyurethane and spray paint. The recycling fees range from $1 for a pint up to $6 for a 2-gallon bucket.

The paint will be disposed of correctly or re-used by Atlanta Paint Disposal. It is filed and turned into a quality reusable paint product for donation back to local communities for beautification projects for such groups as Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army and Boys & Girls Clubs.
