Obituary and funeral services: Audrey Ann Myers Cofer, 76, of Loganville

Screen Shot 2017-01-14 at 4.47.04 PMAudrey Ann Myers Cofer, age 76 of Loganville, GA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Gwinnett Medical Center. Ann was a native of Camak, GA and was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Aubrey Myers and Willie Sue Edwards Myers; sisters, Kathryn Johnson (Cecil), Evelyn Hillman (Harvey) and Betty Sue Jordan (Ben); and brother, T.G. Myers. Ann is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Cofer; 2 daughters, Angela Cofer Breindl of Cumming and Michelle Cofer Beckum (Mike) of Athens; grandchildren, Matthew Joseph Breindl, Ashley Paige Breindl, Robert Jenkins Beckum and William Myers Beckum; sisters, Shirley Nabors (Richard) of Hazlehurst, Clarie Whitfield of Sylvester and Jimmie Johnson (Earl) of Greensboro; brothers in law, James Wendell “Jim” Cofer (Joanne) of Snellville, and Winston Franklin “Frank” Cofer (Teresa) of Lilburn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Snellville, GA where she was a member of The Fellowship Life Group and served as the Treasurer and Outreach member. Ann accepted Christ as a teenager at Camak Baptist Church. On September 7, 2014 Ann rededicated her life and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.Ann’s life experiences included kindergarten teacher and English as a second language leader. She was secretary, treasurer and vice president of Cofer Technical Services for 28 years. Ann enjoyed Christian music and sang in the choir at Bethany Baptist Church for more than 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family on vacation, boating on Lake Lanier and any family activity. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening and all brought her much enjoyment. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her radiant smile will be missed by many.

The Service to Celebrate the Life of Audrey Ann Myers Cofer will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1525 Scenic Highway, Snellville, GA. Mrs. Cofer will lie in state Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Rev. Dr. Jeff Gongwer and Rev. Scott Crow will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Tom M Wages Snellville Chapel from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
