(Monroe, GA) Walton Animal Guild is making this a happy holiday for adoptable pets. Through Dec. 31, 2016, the organization will cover the sterilization costs for dogs and cats adopted from Walton County Animal Control through “The 12 Spays of Christmas” promotion. Surgery costs at Paradox Spay Neuter Clinic will be covered for up to twelve animals adopted from the shelter during the holiday season.
The promotion is part of WAG’s Home for the Holidays adoption efforts to place deserving cats and dogs in loving homes. More families bring a new pet home during the holidays season than any time of the year. Thousands of healthy adoptable dogs and cats enter our local shelter each year, but many don’t find homes. Shelter adoption saves lives.
“The holiday season is a time of family togetherness—what better way to celebrate than changing the life of a shelter animal? Many people make a responsible decision to add pets to their family during this time of year —we want them to also consider saving the life of a shelter animal rather than buying from a pet store,” says WAG president Karen Dean.
Photo portraits of available pets can be seen on the Walton County Animal Control website at www.waltonpets.net. The shelter is located at 1411 S. Madison Avenue, Monroe, GA, and is open Monday through Friday and some Saturdays in December—check the holiday schedule on the website. Adopters will receive a Home for the Holidays gift package from Blue Buffalo.
