Title dreams end for Walton County football teams

Both Loganville High School and George Walton Academy’s dreams of a state title came to an end last night with both teams getting knocked out in Round 2 of the Georgia High School Association football playoffs.

According to Maxpreps.com, the LHS Red Devils were unable to hold off Ware County in Waycross Friday night, going down to the Gators 35-19. The Gators now go on to take on Rome in the quarterfinals next week. Click or tap here for the Maxpreps Bracket for the state AAAAA playoff lineup.

The George Walton Academy Bulldogs also did not manage to beat Fellowship Christian High School in the second round of the playoffs, losing to the Paladins by a score of 38-7.
