WGHS to start feeder baseball program for 9U team

Organizers have announced that Walnut Grove High School is starting a feeder program for baseball for a 9U team. Some practices will be run by Walnut Grove High School baseball coaches at the high school.

John Riffle said that this 9U team will be participating in the Greater Gwinnett Baseball League in the spring.

“GGBL has a 16 game schedule and an end of season tournament. We will also be participating in tournaments once, maybe twice a month,” Riffle said, add it is a great way to start playing travel baseball. “Not overwhelming amount of games played and the travel will be light, throughout Gwinnett County and we will try to keep the tournaments to Walton, Gwinnett, Rockdale counties.”

Riffle said it offers a great opportunity to learn what the high school coaches will be looking for and great way for the players to learn the coaches and the coaches to learn the players. Inbox, call, text or email John Riffe for more info – 678-739-7897 or jcriffle@yahoo.com.
