LPD Donut Dash for Special Olympics scheduled for Saturday

Screen-Shot-2014-10-22-at-3.26.24-PMLoganville Police Department will have its 4th Annual LPD Donut Dash in support of Walton County’s Special Olympics on Oct. 29. The department is asking the public to come out and support the event on behalf of the county’s special olympians. Last year’s event was able to raise more than $6,300 for the event.

The 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run is at Loganville High School, 100 Trident Trail, off Highway 78 in Loganville. It starts at 9 a.m.  On-site registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m.

Online Registration at $20 each is available at this link and ends at noon Oct. 28. 

“This is the 4th year they have done this for Walton County Special Olympics,” said Walton County Special Olympics organizer Janice Tribble. “They have made it possible for our kids to take part in many special activities, have uniforms, equipment and transportation to activities. We can never say thank you enough.”
