UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, there are changes to the Loganville High School and Monroe Area High School graduation plan. Kim Embry, spokesperson for Walton County Public Schools gave the following updates:
Loganville High School graduation has been postponed until noon Saturday.
“It will still be at the stadium, but it won’t be until Saturday,” Embry said. “Had it been light rain it would be one thing, but we feel the weather could be severe enough that it was better to postpone it.”
Monroe Area High School will still be at 6 p.m., but it has been moved into the gymnasium. There will be six tickets per student access given to the gymnasium, but the graduation will be streamed live to other locations around the school.
“We believe that we will be able to accommodate everyone who would have been there had we been able to attend had we been able to keep it outside,” Embry said. “Once the graduation is over, of course then the students can meet up with family.”
Loganville Local News would like to congratulate the Graduating Class of 2016! What a great accomplishment. Faith Academy has already graduated, Walton County students will be graduating this weekend and Gwinnett County students’ graduations are next week.
