UPDATE: This visit has been postponed due to inclement weather. Will update with new date as soon as it is available.

Missy Duren, operator of Corn Dawgs, announced that Taya Kyle, author of “The American Wife: A Memoir of Love, Faith, and Renewal” and widow of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, will be making a stop in Loganville next week.

KyleDuran said Kyle will be signing copies of her book and greeting fans at Corn Dawgs Corn Maze in Loganville from 5:30 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Kyle is known for being the most lethal sniper in American history and author of the best-selling autobiography “American Sniper.” Corn Dawgs honored Kyle for his service to our country, making him the subject of their seven-acre corn maze this fall. Duran said she reached out to Kyle about a month ago.

“Chris was a true American hero,” Duren said in a press release announcing the guest appearance. “His wife Taya continues his service, acting as an advocate for women and those who have lost family members while serving our country. We are honored that she will be visiting Corn Dawgs.”

Chris Kyle and his friend, Chad Littlefield, were killed on Feb. 2, 2013 while attempting to help a troubled vet, leaving his wife a widow and single parent of two. In the book, Taya Kyle, with collaborator Jim DeFelice, shares her private story, “an unforgettable testament to the power of love and faith in the face of war and unimaginable loss–and a moving tribute to a man whose true heroism ran even deeper than the legend,” Duren said in the release.

Taya Kyle will be signing copies of her book “The American Wife” from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Anyone who purchases a book at this event will meet the author and have their book signed. All profits from this event will benefit The Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting families of service members and providing military couples with one-on-one time after deployment.
