The plunge, into Lake Lanier, is scheduled for 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015. Registration opens at 11 a.m. The event takes place at Sunset Cove and, for those brave enough to face the temperatures, Lanier World rides will be open for free. GCSO invites anyone else brave enough to join them in “freezin’ for a reason” at Lake Lanier’s 6th Annual Polar Plunge. This decidedly “COOL” event raises funds in support of the 25,878 athletes of Special Olympics Georgia.
